This Privacy Policy explains how SEO Schema Pro (“we”, “us”, “our”, “the App”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you install or use the App on your Shopify store.
By installing or using SEO Schema Pro, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
SEO Schema Pro is a Shopify embedded application that helps merchants generate, customize, validate, and manage structured data (JSON-LD / schema markup) for products, collections, pages, blog articles, and store-level information (such as Organization and Breadcrumb schemas).
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following types of data:
2.1 Store and account information
- Shopify store domain / shop identifier
- Information needed to authenticate the App with Shopify (OAuth session / access tokens)
- App plan / subscription status (Free or Pro) related to Shopify Billing
2.2 Store content used to generate schema
To create and manage structured data, the App may access and process Shopify data you authorize through App scopes, which may include:
- Products (title, description, images, pricing/availability-related fields, vendor, SKU/identifiers where available, URLs)
- Collections
- Pages
- Blogs and articles
- Shop / store information used for Organization, Website, LocalBusiness, or similar schemas
- Theme-related information needed to detect whether the Theme App Embed is enabled
2.3 App-generated content and settings
- Schema configurations, overrides, enable/disable status
- Custom JSON-LD you paste into the App
- Validation results / issue logs related to schema quality
- Onboarding and App Embed setup status
- Support-related notes you send us by email or WhatsApp
2.4 Technical / operational data
- Logs needed to operate, secure, and debug the App (for example request errors, timestamps, shop identifiers)
- Hosting infrastructure metadata from our deployment environment
We do not intentionally collect payment card numbers. Payments for Pro plans are handled by Shopify Billing.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Install, authenticate, and operate the App inside Shopify Admin
- Generate, store, update, preview, and validate JSON-LD / schema markup
- Inject schema on your storefront through the Theme App Embed (when enabled)
- Enforce Free / Pro plan limits and manage subscriptions
- Provide optional AI-assisted suggestions (when you use AI features)
- Provide customer support
- Improve reliability, security, and performance of the App
- Comply with legal obligations
4. AI features
If you use AI features in the App (for example “Improve with AI”), relevant schema/content context may be sent to our AI provider (currently OpenAI) to generate suggestions.
Important:
- AI suggestions are optional
- AI output is not published automatically; you review and save before anything goes live
- Do not paste sensitive personal data into AI prompts or custom JSON unless necessary
5. How schema is stored and shown on your store
- App configuration and operational records may be stored in our application database
- Schema payloads / settings may also be stored in your Shopify store via metafields (so they can be used on the storefront)
- When the Theme App Embed is enabled, schema markup may be rendered on your live storefront pages for search engines and other consumers of structured data
You control whether schema is enabled per resource and whether the Theme App Embed is turned on.
6. Legal bases / merchant responsibility
If you are a merchant, you are the controller of your customer and store data. We process store data as a service provider / processor to provide the App’s functionality.
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring you have the right to process the data you put into Shopify and into the App
- Ensuring schema content you publish is accurate and lawful
- Not including unnecessary personal data in schema markup
7. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only with:
- Shopify — to authenticate and run the App, and for billing
- Hosting provider— to host the App infrastructure
- AI provider — only when you use AI features
- Support channels you contact us on (email / WhatsApp)
- Professional advisors or authorities if required by law
Service providers are used only as needed to operate the App and are expected to protect data appropriately.
8. Data retention
We retain App data for as long as needed to provide the service and for reasonable backup, security, dispute, and legal purposes.
If you uninstall the App:
- Shopify access tokens are invalidated according to Shopify’s uninstall flow
- We may delete or anonymize App-stored shop data within a reasonable period, unless we must retain limited records for legal, security, or accounting reasons
Shopify metafield data stored in your store may remain in your Shopify store until you remove it.
9. Data deletion requests
To request deletion of App-stored data related to your shop, email:

Include:
- Your Shopify store domain
- The email used for the store / Partner contact
- A clear deletion request
We will process valid requests within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal retention requirements.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect App data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secured hosting practices.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please protect your Shopify admin access and use strong account security.
11. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for business use by Shopify merchants and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate (including servers used by our hosting and AI providers). By using the App, you understand that data may be transferred and processed outside your country of residence.
13. Your choices
You can:
- Uninstall the App at any time from Shopify Admin
- Disable schema for specific resources
- Turn off the Theme App Embed in your theme settings
- Avoid using AI features
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of App-stored data where applicable
14. Third-party services
This App integrates with Shopify and may use third-party services listed above. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review Shopify’s and those providers’ privacy documentation.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will be revised when changes are published. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
